Lab Migration Project

Are you still buying expensive licenses of computational tools for research and education in labs?

Then we suggest it's time to switch to the world of free knowledge and use a nifty, free-of-cost software called R. We are happy to announce the launch of the Lab Migration Project all over India. We invite students and faculty from all Engineering and Non-Engineering colleges to come forward and take part in this project.

About the project:

Lab Migration aims to migrate labs that use proprietary software to a Free/Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) only lab. We recommend the use of R for data visualization and statistical analysis. R offers the same capabilities and ease of use as an equivalent proprietary software for data analysis without paying a huge amount of money to procure licenses.

The Lab Migration team helps in the following ways:

Provide suggestions on the different ways R can be implemented in the laboratory.
Coordinate the migration of the lab to the FLOSS laboratory.
Provide solutions to the lab's problem statements (if required).
